Jennifer Faimon is a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Cerfitied Personal Trainer and an AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America)  Certified Group Fitness Instructor. 

 

At the age of 2 she was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and her doctor said the best way to fight the disease was to stay active. She excelled in volleyball, basketball, track and cheer-leading in junior high/high school athletics but injury and pain always seemed to stand in her way of pursuing anything but cheer-leading in college. 

 

Jennifer spent many years trying to find ways to cope with the pain in her body and the constant fatigue that accompanied. Through the trial and errors of wanting to stay active, she found that she felt inspired and accountable in a group fitness atmosphere and decided to get certified. Jennifer instructed group fitness and aerobics for 8 years, then took a break to go to school while working full time, and eventually went on to start a family. 

Today, Jennifer looks at fitness from a different perspective. Age and medical conditions have taught her to strive to live in total wellness. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle now includes exercise, nutrition, injury prevention  and body awareness.  

JCBC Fitness has not only helped her maintain her healthy lifestyle, it has rekindled her desire to help others reach their fitness goals. Jennifer has not only been the owner/instructor of JCBC Fitness since March 2009, she has been a participant since 2008. She is thankful for the trust and opportunity that the participants of JCBC Fitness, and Greg Durham, former Johnson County Adventure Boot Camp owner, have given her. 

To sum it up, Jennifer is just like you! She is a 34 year old woman with a family and career and she understands first hand that as we age and the stresses of life start piling up, the weight doesn't come off as easily anymore. Because of her life and work experience, Jennifer is the perfect fitness coach. 

Jennifer is introducing a new fitness regimen that is designed to target stubborn fat and help the athlete reach new fitness levels while working with each participant at her own fitness level. Rise and shine ladies...it's time to work out!
